Why Recycle Your Wooden Pallets?
Pallet recycling is our business. If you have excess or junk pallets in the Kansas City Metro area, give us a call to remove your excess pallets in an environmentally friendly manner. Do not send them to the landfill in a dumpster. When you have Kansas City Pallets remove your pallets, you can rest assured they are being recycled. Typically we can save your company 25% over the cost of roll-off or dumpster service. In some cases, we can actually pay you for your pallets if they are the right size (48×40 GMA) and condition.
First Things First: Know Your Pallet Terminology Know Your Pallet Terminology
#1 grade pallets
#1 grade pallets are more readily available but will have a more worn appearance than a new pallet. The specs on an #1 grade are more consistent than on a #2 grade pallet and will never have any block repairs to the stringers. The overall appearance is also better as a #1 grade pallets likely has had fewer cycles than a #2 grade.

#2 grade pallets
#2 grade pallets are considerably less expensive than #1 grades and are used primarily for warehousing or shipping where it is likely the pallet will not be coming back.

- No less than 4 boards on bottom
- Avg. top deck spacing 2-1/2” to 3-1/2” but can be up to 4”

- Has plugs (repairs) on stringers
- Can be various length and location
- Chips or partial split boards are acceptable
GMA Pallet
GMA Pallet – Grocery Manafacturers Assocation – 48x40 four way pallet. This is the standard shipping pallet with three 48” runners that have notches for four way fork lift entry and 40” deck boards and bottom boards. This style of pallet is the most popular and worth the most money for recycling purposes.

Shedule a Live Load Pickup
We can send our semi truck and trailer to your facility and your staff loads the pallets. For commercial and wholesale accounts with a fair amount of GMA Pallets, compensation may be available. Minimum Live Load Pick Up is 50 pallets

Spot Trailers
Spot trailers are available in some circumstances. Depending on volume and type of pallets, we will determine if KC Pallets pays for the pallets, recycles pallets no charge either way or monthly rental fee would apply due to low volume of pallets and odd size pallets
